Choose private buyer-only access when you want Google Drive permissions granted to the customer’s email, or use public anyone-with-link delivery when you prefer simple shared-link downloads.
When an order is completed, the plugin applies your selected Google Drive access rule automatically. Private access can be revoked based on your settings when orders are cancelled, refunded, failed, deleted, or when WooCommerce download permissions expire.
You can choose files or folders directly from Google Drive, configure global or per-product rules, enable Gmail-only private access, send Google notification emails, restrict download/copy where supported by Google Drive, and manage Drive access manually from the order screen.

What’s the difference between Drive Downloads Lite and Pro?
Lite helps you insert public (or already shared) Google Drive links into WooCommerce downloads. It doesn’t change permissions or control access per order.
Pro adds automated Google Drive permission management. It can grant private buyer-only access or manage public anyone-with-link delivery based on your product settings, and it can revoke private access when configured order events occur.
How does automatic access per order work?
When an order reaches the status you configure (for example, Completed), the plugin:
Finds the Drive folder/file linked to the product.
Applies the selected Google Drive access rule, either private buyer-only access or public anyone-with-link access.
Logs what it did in the WooCommerce order notes.
If the order is later cancelled, refunded, failed, deleted, or the WooCommerce download permission expires, the plugin can revoke private Drive access based on your settings.
Does Drive Downloads Pro move or modify my files in Google Drive?
No. The plugin never moves, copies or edits your file contents.
You manage your folder structure directly in Google Drive; the plugin only:
Adds or removes permissions for specific users.
Generates and manages links according to the rules you set.
Can I stop customers from sharing or downloading the files?
Yes, up to what Google Drive allows. For each product you can:
Use private, email-only access instead of public links.
Choose the access type: customer-only private access, Gmail-only private access, or public anyone-with-link access.
Use Google’s own security options like “block download/copy” for viewers or prevent editors from re-sharing.
This lets you reduce unauthorized sharing while still using your existing Drive account.
What do I need to use Drive Downloads Pro?
You’ll need:
A WordPress site with WooCommerce active.
A Google account (Gmail or Google Workspace).
A project in Google Cloud Console with:
OAuth 2.0 credentials (Client ID + Client Secret).
Google Drive API enabled.
